Svetlana Bliznakova - SEVI - Tomorrow
Sveltlana Bliznakova the singer of the Bulgarian group SEVI releases her first solo album. Svetlana is a powerful voice, the kind of voice that gives you chills just listening to her. The title of Svetlana's first solo album is Tomorrow. The style of the album is different from what she sings with SEVI. As aggressive and metal as SEVI's style is, Tomorrow is acoustic and restful. But still very pleasant to listen to.

We find on guitars and keyboards, the prodigious Alexandra Zerner, on bass, acoustic guitars and harmonica, Rally Velinov, another member of SEVI, Peter Bratanov, on electric guitars and on drums and Alexander Kirilov on a few acoustic guitars. And Alberto Steri on the track The Children That Won't Be...
The atmosphere is bucolic on Tomorrow (the song), with many acoustic guitars. Svetlana's voice is enchanting, she can rise high in the treble. The production offers us a silky sound, very pleasant to the ear. Same atmosphere on The Prince and its piano keys accompanying the acoustic guitars as well as the bass and drums.
The lyrics of the songs are filled with good feelings, Give Me Love coming to prove that feeling. It's fresh, melodious and delicious at the same time. The harmonica comes to decorate this festive atmosphere. Cold Stone Soul is a ballad with superb acoustic guitars and backing vocals slipping into the magnificent and irresistible voice of Svetlana Bliznakova.
Impossible to resist the charm of the mid tempo The Children That Won't Be ... It's positive, soft as silk and Svetlana's voice takes us far. Now I admit that Another Try is my favorite track on the album. Not very complicated guitar chords, of course, but the atmosphere is pleasant and exudes good life. The proposed solo is short but incifive. Truly a superb title.
Jaded offers us a nice surprise since to the voice of Svetlana is added the voice of the singer of Hardline and Axel Rudi Pell, namely Johnny Gioeli. A nice duo of two great voices. Even though, I would have preferred Johnny's voice to be mixed a little higher (but this Johnny's choice). I Still Care is a sublime ballad made of acoustic guitars, piano and electric guitars enticing and belligerent.
I Need You is more nervous, fast, but stays in the mid tempo rhythm. The backing vocals surround Svetlana's voice well, on beautiful guitars. From Dusk Till Dawn begins on very beautiful arpeggios. Always acoustic. The guitar / voice / percussion arrangements are accurate and precise. And always, always that fascinating voice.
The Gift closes this very acoustic album, soft, harmonious, elegant and embalming the air of the green and spring countryside. A beautiful acoustic solo comes at the right time to prove to us that this album is fresh like an Icelandic winter and hot like a Californian sun.
